"American Landscape" is a 30"x 40" oil on canvas dedicated to my return to the
midwest area after many years of living on a tropical island. This late summer
scene embodies the sweeping gracefulness of the late afternoon. The figures in
this work gaze wistfully off into the distance, perhaps comtemplating a lost
love, or engaging in love as the couple in the roadster seem to be. Weeping
willows and roses abound behind the white picket fence- a classic trademark of
the midwest landscape.
