"Our Rivers' Fury: Past and Present Ohio Valley Floods"
Get swept away into Behringer-Crawford Museum’s latest exhibit “Our Rivers’ Fury: Past and Present Ohio Valley Floods.” Taking a special look at regional floods that occurred in 1884, 1913, 1937, and 1997, this exhibit explores how these floods changed the landscape of the Ohio River Valley. The rising waters altered lives and left lasting marks in the community. In addition, the exhibit discusses, why floods occur, aspects of flood prevention, the important roles levees play in our everyday lives, and provides multi-sensory experiences through fun interactive components and great documentaries produced by WKRC/Local 12 and celebrated local historian Dan Hurley.
